Senior Safety & Accessibility

Seniors want to stay in their own homes – let’s keep them safe!

  • Safety Education  – Do you know what they need or what would simplify their life and give you peace of mind? Let’s figure that out together.
  • Auto sensor motion lights – installed in hallways/bathrooms so they automatically turn on when walking to bathroom
  • Stove safety sensors – worried that they may leave the stove on? These sensors will turn the stove off if it stays hot for too long
  • Non – evasive monitoring
    • security cameras/lights – Set up to detect movement – if no movement for several hours (say in bedroom), loved one can be alerted and seniors don’t have to have a camera in their face
  • Phone apps – can monitor well being (how do you feel today?) and provide activities to stimulate the mind and body
  • Accessibility
    • Light switches – automated switches if they can’t reach the switches or hard to turn on
    • Thermostats – turn on/off from phone to make more accessible – loved ones can monitor this as well
    • Ring door bells – can know who is coming to the door ahead of time
  • Equipment – ramps, grab bars, etc
